Layered Textile Surfaces

Learn how to create textured surfaces using fabric scraps and layering techniques and then encrust this with simple hand embroidery stitches using textured yarns and threads. Texture and depth can be created with fabric and thread through many various techniques.  Encrusted surfaces may be created by using a variety of experimental techniques.  This workshop is developed to allow you to experiment and create a variety of different surface effects.  The only rule is to be bold with experimentation and not be afraid to try something different; break traditional rules!All skill levels are welcome.
