Yarndale, The Quilt Show Harrogate, workshops and designing new kits

September was a busy month for Kates Kloths with two shows, workshops and also designing new kits.

This time last week I was waiting for the doors to open at Skipton Auction Mart for my very first Yarndale – what an amazing weekend I had. It was lovely to meet so many people and receive so many compliments about my yarns and creative embroidery kits. Thank you to everyone who has supported me and I hope I have inspired some of you to pick up a needle and give embroidery a go. I took my husband with me to help set up – this was his first ever show – it was so good to have someone to help carry things to and from the car. I was all prepared for a cold weekend but the sun shone and it was lovely and warm.

I really enjoyed this show and hope to be accepted for next year.

At the beginning of the month I was at Harrogate in the Showground for the Quilt Show – this was my first show of the year and it felt good to be back. So many excited visitors and it was lovely to see customers returning to my stand

I am looking forward to returning here next spring and then again in September 2022

New Kits

I introduced new kits at these shows and they were extremely successful. The Boucle Flower Wreath – available in three different colour ways – Christmas, Tutti Frutti and Purple/Green. These will be available on Etsy really soon

In September, in between the Quilt Show and Yarndale, I went to Garstang and taught Manipulated Fabric Heart Workshops for the Creative Thread Studio. I had a wonderful day and the work produced was amazing.

September has been a very hectic month but it is so good to be back with you all and seeing people face to face.

I have new workshops coming up – I will keep you updated.
