Time passes by so quickly …… Time for an update

I can’t believe how quickly time passes by and I have just realised that I have not updated you all over the past couple of months,  I have had a bit of a rollercoaster ride with my health and I am trying hard to balance my life and that is literally how I am feeling with my balance disorder 🙁 Some days are good some are bad – I took this photograph a couple of weeks ago and this is sums it up perfectly, even in the dark times there can be colour and brightness.

Never mind, despite this I have been quite busy. At the beginning of this month I decided to put my work into Allendale Forge Studios shop and consequently I will be working in the shop two days a month – today is my first day, it is a lovely place to come and spend a day 🙂

Workshops have been so enjoyable and successful over the last few months that it was time for another dyeing session.  This time I made sure the kitchen was clear of of all laundry after my last episode where I dyed a few of my husbands shirts by mistake, the only thing I managed to accidentally dye were my fingers.  I have a gorgeous selection of textured yarns that will be amazing to incorporate in to hand embroidery and machine couching.  I had great fun with my colours and blending a range of colour combinations.

Last Saturday I had a display at the North East Embroiderers Guild Regional Day.  It was so lovely to see so many familiar faces and share my new work with them. I so am pleased that I have bookings for this year and next with some Guilds in the region.
